Are there any prerequisites?

There are no prerequisites for the PRINCE2® 7 Foundation course. Note that there will be pre-course reading materials and some homework assignments during the course, allowing additional preparation time will help you get the most from the training and exam.

The PRINCE2® 7 Foundation certification is a prerequisite for the PRINCE2® 7 Practitioner examination.

Certification & Exam

Successful candidates earn the PRINCE2® 7 Foundation certification, awarded by PeopleCert. Your examination voucher is provided on the first day of the course.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between PRINCE2® Foundation and Practitioner?
Foundation tests your knowledge and understanding of the PRINCE2® method. Practitioner tests your ability to apply and tailor the method in realistic project scenarios. Foundation is the prerequisite for Practitioner and is the right starting point for anyone new to PRINCE2®.
Is PRINCE2® 7 very different from PRINCE2® 6?
PRINCE2® 7 builds on the sixth edition and is recognisably the same method, but with significant updates, particularly around people management, digital working, sustainability and tailoring. If you hold a PRINCE2® 6 Foundation or Practitioner certification, you can sit the PRINCE2® 7 Practitioner exam directly without completing Foundation again.
Will I need to do homework during the course?
Yes, there is pre-course reading and some assignments during the 3-day course. These are an integral part of the learning experience and your instructor will guide you through them. Setting aside time to review materials before and during the course will significantly improve your exam readiness.
Can I study at my own pace instead of attending a virtual classroom?
Yes, PRINCE2® 7 Foundation is also available as a self-paced online course if you prefer to study independently.
